Assessment of Land Use, Forest Policy and Governance in Cambodia

A critical analysis of deforestation and degradation, forest policy and governance in Cambodia in the context of REDD+ readiness.  The report reviews trends in  forest cover, demand for wood and non-wood forest products and forest land, agricultural expansion, the timber trade, and infrastructure development.  Strategies for implementing REDD+ are outlined together with simple calculations estimating costs associated with community forestry and protected area management.
